Looking forward to get going with @milliekendall and the @britishbeautycouncil team 💛 A good opportunity to give you a reminder of the areas I focus on: 🌿 COST OF LIVING CRISIS I’m supporting @toiletriesamnesty and their mission to get hygiene products to those that are in desperate need while stopping products going to landfill. 🌿 CHAMPION SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY IN BUSINESS I’m on the Advisory Board for the Sustainable Beauty Coalition with the aim to accelerate the sustainability efforts of the industry, supporting campaigns like @standbybees_ to cut bee-killing pesticides - sign the petition in my bio 🐝 🌿 SUPPORT HAIR SALONS AND BEAUTY AND WELLNESS SPAS - recognise and promote the seismic impact they have on clients, practitioners and the community and give sustainability advice on how to future-proof businesses. Encourage careers in this industry. 🌿 PROMOTE CERTIFICATION LOGOS such as the Soil Association, to protect biodiversity, champion new sciences and stop greenwashing. I’m honoured to be on the executive judging committee for their #boomawards 🌿 TREAT SKINCARE AS SELF-CARE - the mind-skin connection, increase self-esteem, calm anxiety and support the link between beauty products and emotional health. 🌱Embrace the ‘inside outside’ approach, with our skin linked to our gut, hormone balance and psychological well-being. 🌱 Ageing is a gift - looking at outdated marketing language. 🌿 SMALL BUSINESS HELP I’ve worked as a beauty journalist and creative director for 20 years and I’ve always been open to sharing my expertise with small businesses on how to succeed in this challenging environment.
