The Sandwich rule basics: ➡️The Top (your top, hat, accessories) and The Bottom (shoes) are usually the bread the middle is the meat, and that's usually pants, skirts, shorts or dresses ➡️from an optics perspective, it's harmonious to the eye to have the bread match and the meat be a different color or shape, like most sandwiches! ➡️ the objective, as in many styling rules, is to achieve balance so that colors or shapes look cohesive.
