Volume 4 of Randall Poster’s epic compilation of songs for the birds. This one features some heavy artists including my man Doug Weiselman, Bill Frisell, George Saunders, Michael Pollan, Mark Motherbaugh, Andrew Bird (probably first call 😆), the great Cassandra Jenkins, Kamasi Washington, non-stop Domenica Fossati, all day Elvis Perkins, Uk rocker Jarvis Cocker, the amiable Sam Amidon, long time no see Nick Zinner and dozens more creative souls. I’m going to start listening TOdAY and I’ll see you next week. ❤️❤️....a few notes in my piece: it’s a flock of clarinets, and a flock of bass clarinets. The title of the piece is Far Rockaway - one of the few places we could go during the pandemic. I use more harmony than anything else I’ve made up to this point, and I really got into some shit on this one. I hope you can get lost in this music. I also co-wrote and produced Jacob Riis with my hero Domenica Fossati, who painted her piece with flocks of flutes and piccolos.
