Rest In Peace to this drag legend Miss Darcelle XV of Portland, Oregon. I’m so grateful to have met this Queen, back in 2016, sang Uptown Fish with her on a Portland boat cruise (swipe to see) and truly given her the flowers she deserved. I’ll never forget seeing her front row, tappin that foot while I twirled and death dropped for her enjoyment. This loss makes me think of so many amazing drag entertainers who in their own way helped influence the world of drag, but are no longer with us … divas like The Lady Chablis, Whitney Paige, Erica Andrews, and my sis Sahara Davenport to name just a few … my ❤️ goes out to all those who knew Miss Darcelle XV and everyone performing at her bar @darcellexvshowplace 💕 May all the Queens continue to thrive in her memory, and may we all keep the love & freedom of Drag alive.
