And just like that..... I’m thirty, flirty and - say it with me - thriving! Couldn’t be more grateful to be here, to he surrounded by boundless love. To enter my 30s living a life that is meaningful to me, to live well, and live fully, is a blessing. It’s something I’ve worked hard to cultivate and in moments like these when I see it reflected back to me in such a concentrated way, I’m overwhelmed, in awe, in gratitude. May I continue to hold space for it all. So it may galvanise and inspire me to keep going and keep growing, keep sharing love and good in the world where I can. May I soak it all in for all of the David’s who got me here — especially the younger ones who felt doubt but persisted. Who hurt deeply and worked hard to heal. Who were brave, courageous, dedicated, patient. I used to have grandiose visions for what an ‘ideal life’ looked like. In the last few years I learned to listen, to think about what really mattered to me and dedicated my energy there. Now I’m living a life I sometimes can’t believe is mine. I reap the rewards every day. It’s imperfect but human: messy, alive, abundant with joy and laughter and pleasure. I am bolstered by purpose, community and a lust for life. I feel ready, eager and open to new adventures, challenges and possibilities. I cannot wait to see what lies ahead; excited to push myself to grow, to surprise myself, to change and pivot and learn learn learn. I am so lucky to share it all with amazing people in my life.
