Jack Sabback, NYC, 2008. Details are hazy, but pretty sure this was the last time I could spend significant time in New York City. Kingpin magazine was about to go from b-monthly to monthly, so I jumped on the occasion to be away from the desk for weeks at end. That allowed me to spend times exploring with @timandvicstagram , Clark Hassler, @mystaticlife , Billy Rohan and many more... Good times, off course. I remember that day starting at Tompkins Square park, the spot being only a few blocks away. The run-up was in front of a restaurant and the plan was to skate before they opened. Jack was trying to backside 180 it when we finally got the boot... I want to say I ended up seeing the BS180 in a video, later? Please direct me to it, if it rings a bell. It was a decade after my first experience with skateboarding the streets of the city.
