도시에서 자란 나는 더 깊고 넓은 자연 속으로 들어갈 때마다 자연 앞에서 내가 얼마나 작은 존재인지, 그리고 그 안에 함께 살아가는 다른 생명체들과 얼마나 깊이 연결되어 있는지를 깨닫곤 한다. Growing up in the city, every time I step into the vastness of nature, I’m reminded of how small I am and how deeply connected we are to all living things around us. I think the recent tragedy is not just the tragic loss of lives and nature—it serves as a powerful message, urging us to reflect on our relationship with the environment. As the saying goes, ‘Familiarity breeds contempt, and you don’t realize what you have until it’s gone.’ If we remain numb to the value of nature and turn away from it, it may be too late to fix it.
