The highlight of my year has NOT been starring in the various series I took part in, releasing three singles in the span of one month, performing at festivals, building my businesses or exceeding my projected earnings for the year. It was spending 42 hours in East Java with five amazing kids, who have stolen my heart and deserve the world! It angers me that we still have the audacity to complain about life, when these kids, who have so little, can find reasons to smile and look ahead despite the extremely challenging lives they live. As I write this, I struggle to write everything that’s on my mind because I simply cannot reduce my experiences to one simple post. All I can say, is that I simply hope more people can find it in themselves to help those in need, in any way they can. And realize that there is ALWAYS something to be grateful for. We should not take our everyday, sometimes mundane lives, for granted, as there are SO MANY people out there who could only dream of living the lives that we live. #cintalaurakiehl #actoflove
