This video marks the beginning of a meaningful partnership between @birthfund and our inaugural impact partner @SoFi that will have generational impact for the families we support. We know that in order to solve the maternal health crisis we must also address the financial crisis facing many families across the country. Research shows 56% of people don’t think they can afford to start a family, let alone cover the out of pocket costs of midwifery care. So @SoFi and @birthfund are coming together to address the need for more financial support with a generous donation to cover maternal healthcare costs AND — on top of that!! — provide $10K in a SoFi High-Yield Savings Account to each of our selected families. In addition to a midwife, they will be paired with a certified financial planner who will help them map out their financial futures.
