In 2017 I met Benjamin Washington @goodwrittenz in Baton Rouge when I was filming ‘My America.’ He wrote us a poem that we had to sadly edit down for the final documentary. I wanted to share it with you in full at this time because I think it’s so powerful and emotional and relevant at this time.
