In a moving display of unity and generosity, the Miami Beach community rallied together at @sunsetpadel to honor a fallen hero and support the family he left behind. Sunset Padel hosted a special fundraising event on Sunday, December 14, in remembrance of Sergeant David Cajuso, a @miamibeachpd motor unit officer who tragically lost his life in the line of duty. Organized by owners @chrispaciello and @rafig22 alongside city leaders and community advocates, the event brought together elected officials, athletes, and residents to celebrate Sergeant Cajuso’s service and legacy. Thanks to the outpouring of support, more than $165,000 was raised and presented to his widow, Eileen Cajuso, to help support her and their three young children. Community leaders including Miami Beach Mayor @stevenmeiner, Miami Mayor @francissuarez, @chiefwaynejones, and notable sports figures were among those in attendance, underscoring the widespread impact of Sergeant Cajuso’s sacrifice. The evening concluded with a Pro/Am padel match that fostered connection and solidarity, transforming the fundraiser into a powerful moment of remembrance, compassion, and collective strength that will resonate throughout Miami Beach for years to come.
