“I’m inspired by details! For this Poloroid set in particular I knew I had a vision behind the lens, yet I wanted Mali & I to organically flow throughout the process so there was room for her essence to express itself. The shoot was very casual, we pretty much hung out listening to oldies & danced while creating, which came through in the direction of the photos. Just like shooting with film, sometimes you don’t know what you’ll get when playing with natural lighting & we found this process of experimenting intriguing. I love how the contrast of the images developed naturally.
