Community It takes a village to raise a child I was told but no one told me the village had to be cultivated. Like a plant it has to be watered and tended to with openness, vulnerability & Strength. As MLK once said “We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.” Community can come with its pitfalls, our expectations of people open our eyes to how human and imperfect we can actually be. It’s never too late for second chances and it’s never too late to allow love enter a broken place where the same love ripped open. Community says when you are tired lean on me, it says I’m imperfect but if I can do something for you to aleviate some stress I’ll do it. One thing I’ve learnt and I’m still learning is the importance of having people who you trust see you for who you are. Not only when you are up but when you are down also.
