Apraxia Catch Up 🤍 To the new people who’ve joined my page looking for Apeaxia content, hi 👋🏼 and welcome! • I’ve known I’ve had Apraxia for most of my life, but it wasn’t until I was an adult that it became part of my identity and I’ve fully embraced all that it means to me. • While I decided to stop speech therapy after 12 years, my speech journey is different from either yours or your child. • But Apraxia is more than speech 🗣it’s a motor and neurological disorder. To this day I still don’t hold a pencils ✏️ the “normal” way but I’ve developed tools and modalities to compensate! • I’ve so fortunate to my family to helping me develop the tools I needed and to have advocated for me during school, so here I am working to advocate for those who can’t! #disabilityadvocate
