The figures in ob’s ‘garden’ are frozen in an eerily stagnant state, their existence kept from being nullified by their silent, almost emotionally distant relationships with the objects around them—a collection of miniatures, a table against which they rest, a bed on which they recline. Yet, in the eponymous painting of the exhibition is a glimpse of a tender moment: a couple, hands overlapped sharing a moonlit gaze.
