Will it sear? Yellow Mustard.... Everyone has something to say about using yellow mustard as a binder even though it does not add flavor at ALL.... Well let’s see how it does for building a crust on a steak! We used a beautiful @swift__meats NY Strip and covered it in Yellow Mustard. Inserted our @meatermade probe and seared it on our @traegergrills Ranger. Pulled it off when the IT was 125F and let it rest till the IT hit 133F for a perfect medium rare. As you can see the crust came out beautiful with a nice golden brown color. Perfectly cooked in the inside as well. And as expected, the yellow mustard added no flavor to the Swift NY Strip.
