When trimming a blunt bang I always wait for the hair to be close to 90% dry. (If it’s the client’s first time getting bangs like this, I would wet cut the hair to the brow, but wait to go shorter until 90% dry)
From there I hold the section in between my fingers. This gives me control while removing more length. Once I get the length close to where I want, I refine with the section resting directly on their forehead. (Ask them to close their eyes!)
I never section off bangs with clips when I cut them & I make sure to not cut into their hairline. When blowdrying I use my blowdryer on the medium fan setting with medium heat. Angle your blowdryer 45 degrees and point down at the bangs while moving the blowdryer side to side. Use your fingers or a wide tooth comb to guide the hair.
I’m using my Paragon II 6” scissor from @arcscissors! You can use my code “skip15” for 15% off your entire order! Great scissors are KEY for successfully cutting blunt precision lines!
I styled @karmasvoid Kyah with @cultandking Jelly + @hairstorystudio Undressed & Powder. Click the link in my bio to shop!
