"Last year, I was just starting on my own. I was living in a freezing cold apartment without heating. Thanks to Transanta I was able to get a comforter and pillows. ... Every night I am reminded of the fact I couldn't get a good sleep if it weren't for the Santas that helped me. " — Ari, 23 Since its founding in 2020, Transanta (@transanta) has brought joy to trans young people around the world. Started by actor Indya Moore, organizer Kyle Lasky, and attorney Chase Strangio, the project asks trans and gender-nonconforming youth to send in wishlists for holiday gifts, then uses social media to find gifters happy to fulfill them. To illustrate the incalculable impact that Transanta has had over the years, we asked 11 participants to share what the gifts they've received have meant to them. Head to the link in our bio to read the touching stories. And head to @transanta's profile to participate — it's never too late.
