Made with @ontariodairy butter & cheese!🥛 find the recipe below, enjoy xx French Onion Grilled Cheese Serves 2 Ingredients: 4 pieces bread 2 white onions, thinly sliced 1 tbsp olive oil 2 tbsp butter, divided Handful fresh sage 1 cup aged white cheddar or gruyere cheese Salt Directions Heat a large saucepan over low-med heat. Add in 1 tbsp of butter with 1 tbsp olive oil. Once melted, add in thinly sliced white onions. Season with salt. Continuously stir until onions are caramelized. Add in sage once onions are soft. Once onions are browned, remove sage and add onions to a bowl. Set aside. Butter each side of the bread and add grated cheese to the bottom of one slice, followed by caramelized onions and more cheese on top. Add second piece of bread. Add butter to a skillet over med-high heat. Once melted, add in grilled cheese. Cover and add in a few droplets of water. Once cheese is melted and bread is browned, flip grilled cheese and repeat.
