While I wait for Instagram to approve my use of the song for the video we made. Instead of just posting stills which is the cool-on-trend thing to do in the visual world, here’s a little montage of the different takes set to her humming the song.... We wanted a simple video that let @zelladay sing and dance like no one was watching. We had a tiny crew but knew it had to be on film. So we didn’t have the luxury of playback, we only had enough film for 8 takes, enough light for 5 good ones but still wanted to try and get it in one long take. Some takes had focus issues, one take rolled out, I kept slamming into walls while operating, others Zella’s dog wasn’t taking my direction, or we didn’t know we would have to rack the iris towards the ending; it was always something.
