Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about my daughters and how to talk to them about what’s happening right now. Is it too early to explain that laws have just been passed that make it so that they have less rights than men? That they will make less than their male counterparts? That it’s less safe for them? For now I’ve decided they are too young, and it’s too early. I believe with all my heart that these things will all be different by the time they are old enough for it to make sense to them.
