This is one of my go to exercises for healthy hair and hair growth. I started to notice some hair thinning along my temples and hairline last year and I found this exercise to really help.
The scalp is lined with acupuncture meridians and acupressure points. When you use the Gua Sha Comb you are stimulating these points which benefit your internal health and bringing your body into balance. Using a Gua Sha Comb increases circulation to the scalp boosting hair growth, strength, and shine.
Regular use can clear up dandruff, reduce tension and tightness of both the face and scalp and reduce headaches.
You can do this on dry hair or with a scalp oil (which I highly recommend! My hair has transformed since introducing oils and scalp care)
+ Start your scalp massage in the center of your skull at the front of your forehead hair line. Move from front to back all the way down to the base of your skull. Repeat this stroke 8-10x.
+ Next move to one side. Break it up into 3-4 sections, moving from the center down the side in a straight line. Repeat each section 8-10x, then move on to the other side.
+If you noticed any points or areas that felt tender or tight you can go back to them and use the comb in a gentle circular motion to stimulate the acupressure point and release tension.
