One of the most beautiful, serene interiors in memory, Studio Oliver Gustav is a must-visit for me every time I’m in Copenhagen. The symphony of greys and the play of light is immediately calming. The palette is so evocative of the contemplative interior paintings of Danish master Hanmershøi (merci Anne-Marie Colban!). Oliver’s eye is so discerning and yet continues to be surprising: last year he hosted an installation in partnership with Michèle Lamy, artist, and creative partner to Rick Owens, which I am sad to have missed. I visit, also, to admire the purity of his sublime linen furniture and have had my eye on a chair for a long time. It’s good to want.
