The three of us had subconsciously brought our own perspectives and identities to the project in a much more symbolic way than intended. Me, a queer person, Valheria, an immigrant, and Zoe, a black woman, all interpret "Americana" in slightly different ways, and were so excited to see that the resulting pictures spoke so clearly about each of our unique experiences.”
