A (Bathroom) Scene Part 1 - The Enabler by @usukumah Actors: @howardboi21 & @naaaate123 “At the beginning of 2021, I reflected on a period in my life when I would self-medicate to rid myself of anxious and depressed feelings. This mostly took place when I began exploring my bisexuality and found myself surrounded by individuals who didn't care about me. Sadly, I think this experience is quite common in the LGBTQ+ community, especially for those who come from families that oppose same-sex relationships. In essence, we use a bathroom for mental health and inwardness. It's the most intimate room in a living space. We use that space to clean ourselves internally and externally. It's the place where we can examine what is physically wrong (and right) with ourselves. The Enabler is the first part of this series, where both characters are vaguely queer. The main character, known as the Woeful Hedonist, dressed in the suit, is trying to be introspective. However, because he's a novice at it, he uses drugs and substances to reach introspection. The other character, the Enabler himself, is effectively a bad influence or a devil-on-the-shoulder character, who doesn't care about introspective thoughts, actively tries to avoid them, and wants the main character to follow suit.”
