‘Intervened Memory’ (due for release 28 October on @bhamrecordco) is a large scale piece for viola da gamba (@israelcastillovioladagamba) and electronics (@juanlu_montoro) by composer/photographer @jimena.maldonado Maldonado uses her experience as a photographer to experiment with the relationship between music and visual elements. Her new album is a delicate, respectful investigation of a series of ten poignant images by @studiocristianpineda taken in Juchitán, Oaxaca, Mexico after a catastrophic earthquake in September 2017.
