Our neighborhood has a 72-acre cemetery in it. 🪦Creepy? Maybe. But the middle-class Victorians who built our neighborhood wouldn’t have thought so. Back then, cemeteries were also public parks. The Oakwood Cemetery still plays that role for us 156 years later. It’s a place of history and community. We’re just visiting our neighbors, after all! 💁‍♀️Big thank you to Robin Simonton, director of the cemetery, for sharing your vast historical knowledge with us!
