I will never master Oaxaca cooking at its entirety. No one will. But there are those who can master regions, and one of them is @thalia.levadura of @levaduradeolla a master of the Sierra Sur region of Oaxaca. It’s hard to find words to describe the food she makes because most of it can only be expressed in the feelings she evokes inside you. I feel blessed to know her. Blessed to eat her food and now blessed to have learned from her. If you are in oaxaca, book a spot at her cocina de humo. They do a few limited seatings a day. It’s unlike anything you’ve experienced before. @oaxacking tours almost always include stops at her place. So plan accordingly for your coming Oaxaca visit.
