Yesterday's comp went far better than I anticipated, after the really bumpy prep I had coming in. For those that don't know, I pulled one of my adductors, strained both my pecs, and got the flu all within a 2 week span and about 4 weeks out from the meet. Had I not had the people around me I call family, I would have just pulled out of the meet and competed another time. I'm glad I didn't because yesterday was a blast and I made some amazing memories I'm never going to forget. I'm grateful for all of you, even though I may not get to tell you all the time. Now to the numbers: - 628 Squat (red lighted for depth). Super close call here, but I'll take a solid 11lb PR whether it's counted or not. I feel like they could've loaded anything on the bar and it was coming back up just as fast. - 424 Bench (8lb meet PR). Planned on 429 but went slightly lower to secure the 3rd attempt after I didn't get my 3rd on squats. - 644 Deadlift (11lb meet PR). I honestly can't tell you what my heaviest deadlift was coming into this meet during training. Deadlifts were not going well at all in prep but I managed to pull this from somewhere😂. - 1,657 Total @ 265.
