#burningman2022 @playalchemist Today I had an insight... while pulling weeds from @joshsrobertson ‘s garden. Weeds appear separate on the surface but beneath the soil is a complex weave of roots. When pulling, purifying, clearing, you need to dig deep to where the roots are entwining like veins and arteries and if you’re able to get deep enough... a giant clearing of what inhibits the flowers from their full bloom is possible with ease. Digging deep is uncomfortable though. The ego wants to pull at the surface and just get on with it. But if you go deep enough and stay with it, the weeds surrender to the pull and lift up in a sequence all together! This burn was intense for so many! I am hearing stories of illness, RVs having no power the entire time, broken bones... but we all come back from that barren land having shed something. Having birthed something. Having lived and lived and lived some more - in the extremes. In yoga, we practice the withdrawal from one sense in order to heighten another. This makes me think that we all take this pilgrimage to that land not suitable for LIFE - to essentially live even more dreamlike! Withdrawal from one thing lends itself to a heightened experience in a different direction. Cheers brave ones. Recover well. Rest deep. Integrate with devotion. Love you Photo by @trupalpandya
