I haven’t reintroduced myself in a while so hello 👋 My name is Megan (which for some reason comes as a shock to people from the internet far too often???). I’m *almost* 26, from New York, and have been living in LA for almost 8 years. I have two brothers and I’m in the middle. I started a fashion blog my freshman year of high school (in 2012) because I heard bloggers could get free clothes. My blog was called “Tunes & Tunics” and I talked all about fast fashion trends and music. After learning about environmental and ethical issues in the fashion industry in college I shifted gears and have documented my whole slow fashion journey right here on the internet. Growing up my mom did a bit of sewing - hemming pants that were too long for us kids, making our halloween costumes, etc. I went to a one week sewing camp at a local fabric store in middle school (yes, I was very cool) and learned some sewing machine basics like backstitching, loading the bobbin and thread, and following a pattern. We made the ugliest rectangle bag dress with zero shape in class and I vividly remember hemming it like 6 inches shorter than the pattern and styling it with a ribbon belt to cinch in the waist. Otherwise I’ve pretty much learned to sew through trial and error and a lot of seam ripping. I watch a bit too much trash tv, especially of the love variety - the entire 90 day fiancée franchise, love island, love is blind, etc etc I’ve never called myself a reader, but after discovering audiobooks I’ve become obsessed. I read 3 books in 2021, 83 books last year, and I’ve already read 55 books so far this year. I’m an iced tea girly until the day I die. I don’t like coffee at all. I have iced tea every day and am very particular about my ice. I don’t like the pellet ice.... And these are my favorite emojis of all time 🫶🥲🤪🤳🏼 How did y’all find me?
