Our incredible partner, Solidarity Engineering (@solidarityengineering), provides vital sanitation services to displaced people living in Rio Camp, a makeshift refugee camp in Reynosa, Mexico. The toilet units set up by Solidarity Engineering allow hundreds of people every day to keep clean and help stop the spread of disease across the camp. However, this winter, large scale flooding and rainfall made the track up to Rio Camp unusable. As a result, the pump truck Solidarity Engineering relies on to empty their toilets could not access the camp. The toilets became unhygienic and, for the hundreds of people stuck in Rio Camp, the situation became a health hazard. Thanks to your donations, this month, we were able to support Solidarity Engineering to rebuild the road to Rio Camp so that residents can access the toilets they desperately need this winter.
