Gaffer David Chomiak (@david_gaffer) and his crew using 2x LS 1200d Pro’s + Lantern 90s and 1x LS 600c Pro + BM1215 Narrow to create a ‘modern moonbox’ in order to light a night exterior. As he says in the @aputure.lighting User Group on Facebook: “The original reason for going with these modifiers instead of other ones was setup time, but I will be using these lanterns in the future more often for similar scenarios for sure. The lanterns mimic moonlight characteristics pretty well. The optimization between the COBs and appropriate modifiers allowed me to run the whole moonlight setup pretty much on house power (around 3.5 kW). With a more classical moonbox approach I would have been looking at a 3 phase distro.
