In today’s episode, Pulitzer Prize-winnig author Andrew Sean Greer explores the topic from his own writing and research but also his personal experience as an openly gay man in the 80's. He also tackles the U.S.'s current political climate by asking how freedom from fear is possible in highly indiviualistic societies. Andrew Sean Greer is a California-based novelist and short story writer. He is the recipient of the Northern California Book Award, the California Book Award, the New York Public Library Young Lions Award, the O Henry award for short fiction and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the New York Public Library. Greer received the 2018 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction for his novel 'Less'. The follow up, 'Less Is Lost', will be published by Little, Brown in September 2022.
