If you'd have told me in 1984 that i'd be shedding tears over the 'death' of John Kreese...I mean, tears of JOY maybe, but man these writers know how to wrap me around their little finger. I LOVED Kreese's role this season. It played out so differently to how many, myself included, predicted, with him spending the entirely behind bars, but I enjoyed him in that sort of 'Jigsaw' role, scheming and trying to influence events on the outside. I thought his chemistry in the scenes with Daniel was incredible as we saw the two interact in a very different context to their usual encounters, but of course, as many have already said, one of the finest moments of the shows entire run to date, came as @martinkove put on an acting CLINIC, 'breaking down' during his counselling sessions and revisiting his long list of past indiscretions. But I defy anyone, no matter how cold hearted, no matter how strongly you might have felt that Kreese had finally gotten his comeuppance, not to have shed a tear as that perfectly executed sequence at the beginning of Episode 10 played out. Huge shout out to @owenharn_real_life_floridaman incidentally, who was brilliant throughout as Gabriel, the bully turned servant. What were your thoughts on Kreese in S5? Did you think he was genuine during those sessions, or was it always part of his master plan to escape, and now that he's roaming free once again, what do you think his involvement in future seasons might look like? Drop me a line in the comments and let me know, and as always, if you’ve enjoyed any of my work so far, there’s a link in my bio where you can donate the cost of a cup of coffee - all support is greatly appreciated (at least by my kids because that’s where all the money REALLY goes) Photo credit: @curtyphotog #CobraKaiSeason5 #CobraKai #CobraKaiEdit #CobraKaiSeries #CobraKaiNetflix #CobraKaiOnNetflix #cobrakaifanart #JohnKreese #MartinKove
