Happy National Confetti Day! Ok, there’s no such thing but given there’s a National Day for everything else maybe it should be! As photographers we’re usually (read always) tasked with setting up this much anticipated shot. As with all things, there’s more than one way to do it but if maximum impact in the photos is important, then I like to put my couples in one spot, surround them with guests and launch it all at once on my countdown. It never fails to get a big reaction, from both the couple and all their guests. Top tip, have layers of people (3 deep) and have some guests throw from behind the photographer...and always throw the confetti up and at the couple, rather than in their face...although, I confess that can also make for a fun photo. I might love it more than the couple though 😂 Here’s Gill and Rob, somewhere underneath this barrage of petals supplied by the lovely @maryflor_villereal Couple: @gill_b92 @robbiek21 Venue: @chateaudestpaul Planner: Sue Christie from @marrymeinfrance Makeup: @magali_laville Hair: @eleonora_hairstyliste Dress: @enzoani @elodybride Suit: @mossbros Flowers: @maryflor_villereal Shoes: @jimmychoo Jewellery: @onedamelane Band/Sax: @brightlightsband @matt_daviesmusic
