i’m not as naive as i was in 2016, but i am holding onto hope because we always deserve to be hopeful. who knows how next week is going to go but i remain hopeful for the outcome; for the day that my girls get to see someone who looks a little bit like them in the seat of the president; and for this country to please find its way back to decency, civility, and care.
