In the first days of the invasion @WCKitchen asked Olga Maksiuk, a film and TV producer by trade, to set up their warehouse and distribution center in Lviv. She left behind many friends in Kyiv who stayed to document the frontlines. While her heart and mind remain there, she chooses to work with the WCK team in Lviv, applying her problem solving skills to the massive logistical effort of distributing food across a country at war. When asked why, she speaks plainly, “because it means tomorrow someone will be able to eat.”
