You’ve probably guessed it but the Japanese word, “Kami”, means God. The cocktail is sort of a mix of dirty martini and sangria. I chose Junmai Reishu Sake which isn’t as popular as the other types of sake for the base. Reishu translates to “chilled sake” and it is typically served cold which is perfect for chilled drinks like sangria. Instead of the olive juice, I am using the juice from Japanese pickled daikon radish, Takuan. There are three different types of fermented ingredients incorporated in the cocktail. The aroma is funky but the taste isn’t as funky as it smells.
