Women around my age often DM me asking what I do to stay in shape. Gotta say I’m grateful for the compliment. It goes something like this... I’ve been fit most of my life. I was obsessed with dance when I was young but a dislocated a hip put an end to that. I ran like Forest Gump but my hip eventually caught up with me and ended that so I replaced it with walking and of course stretching then later mucking around with tap dancing. Tap is fun and kind to my body and of course walking but neither help my upper body or bone density. Something Ive had to address since my 50s. With some kind motivation from my partner I’ve finally joined a gym again. Two to three times week feels like enough to gently build my strength, also swimming is a love and my hair can handle it once a week. I am really interested in nutrition and live by the 80/20 rule. 80% pure wholesome food, 20% is when I’m out and I eat and drink what ever I like. Vodka is my drink of choice btw! 🍸 That’s my way of having balance. My body isn’t naturally toned like it was when I was young and I don’t need to be ripped, I just want to feel good and feel confident in clothes.... Not to mention how it helps mentally. I hope this is of some help but feel free to ask me things. I’m far from an expert, just a woman who like to feel the best she can and feel happy 😊
