Sean Anders’ #Spirited reimagines Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” from the point of view of the helpful ghosts that guided Ebenezer to turn his life around. But all the contemporary wrapping, the dizzying array of tones and endless songs winds up distracting from what works best: Ferrell as a determined phantom and @vancityreynolds as his snarky Scrooge.
