In this clip we learn about how Gertrude worked in the laboratory of Dr. George Hitchings to develop drugs that could target specific diseases in the body. Her revolutionary discoveries earned her the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1988, an award that was generously donated last year to her alma mater, @huntercollege.
