In May 2023, Senator Tim Scott, who represents South Carolina in the United States, wrote back to me in response to my letter about the ongoing conflict in Gaza and duly acknowledged my role in international human rights advocacy. In 2024, he invited me to his office through his staff at the Capitol Hill in the United States for a roundtable discussion on advocacy and UN goals.
