ARTIST(S) SPOTLIGHT: TRESTLE RECORDS DAY BAND Adam Coney (Guitar), Francesca Ter-Berg (Cello) and Jimi Tormey (Drums) will be appearing together for the first time as a trio, performing a completely improvised set of instrumental music as a live extension of the 'One Day Band' concept curated by @trestlerecords @adamconeymusic is a composer/guitarist with a keen sense of production aesthetic and progressive sensibility who draws on contemporary classical, electronic, folk and jazz vernacular. Stylistically his work has been noted for its idiosyncratic take on pastoral and angular reflections. In addition to headlining performances at acclaimed venues such as Cafe OTO (London U.K) and international touring, Coney has supported artists such as Bill Orcutt & Daniel Lanois in live performance. @francescaterberg is a cellist and producer with an in-depth improvisation and collaborative practice. She is known for her specialism in Eastern European traditional music (specifically Klezmer and Roma) which she has been researching and performing for 15 years. Her improvisation practice stems from spending time with renowned improvisors in the US and UK—including Vijay Iyer, Okkyung Lee and Ashley Paul, Anthony Coleman, Tyshawn Sorey and Joe Morris. Jimi Tormey is a multi-instrumentalist and singer songwriter. Tormey performs as part of Margate rabble rousers GANG and also solo under the guise of @yemrot00. He has announced his debut mini album The Sunken Garden for release through @prahrecordings on November 4, 2022. #margate
