happiest of birthdays to one of my absolute fav divas 👑💕 @ladycamden was one of the first people who came into my life and became very close with me after I stopped drinking. I protect and honor those relationships fiercely, because in a time when I was re-discovering and remembering myself, she not only accepted, but loved me! for exactly who I am — while I was learning to do the same. Recovering alcoholics have typically hurt and pushed away people without the deep and honest intention to do so, so it can be scary af to suddenly be much more self-aware when making new friends. Camden is the kind of friend I can say literally anything to, and she’ll either straight up tell me I’m being a cunt or laugh hysterically at how mentally ill/hilarious I am.
