I’ve been home from tour for about a week, but wanted to take a sec to acknowledge the group of humans I just spent the past two months of life with. Traveling with 12 people in a moving 400 sq foot apartment can be challenging enough. But combined with all the complexities of touring during a pandemic, it’s really important that you like who you’re stuck with. And I count it an honor and a privilege to have been “stuck” for 50+ days with some of the most hard working, selfless, fun, and life giving people on the planet. There was a communal relentlessness to find the beauty in every moment, to make the best out of even the worst days, and to fully capitalize on the good ones that left me constantly stunned. The sacrifices I saw each person make over and over to put the joy and needs of one another before themselves was inspiring to watch up close. Negativity on tour can be so contagious, especially on long stretches away from home where the days all start running together. Fighting for unity and trying to keep morale high is oftentimes one of the most difficult things I battle on the road. But I learned on this tour that positivity can be pretty infectious as well. I’m incredibly grateful for this group of guys, to @needtobreathe and their entire team for taking such great care of us, and to @thenewrespects for always bringing such a radiant and beautiful energy into every room they enter. Couldn’t be more proud to belong to this family.
