#RoomsAndRatings as promised in my previous post here is a update on a night I probably won’t forget. It all started out nicely with a big hike to complete a big loop through Andorra and France. And after first day done and some tired legs we put up camp in one of the rare flat spots in the mountains. Throughout the night the wind picks up and some heavy showers as well. After being out a couple of times to refit the pegs in the now softer ground I am amazed how well the tent stands up the the challenge and especially that it is still completely dry inside not one drop of water. At 5 in the morning one of my companions comes with the disappointing news that the barometer is showing quite low pressure and still dropping... roughly 1 hour later we break one of the poles in a big gust of wind, after that is repaired we agree on slowly getting ready to move on. But then another hour later we here a wind gusts rolling down the mountain like no other before it, and with in a split second the whole thing collapsed around our heads. Then the time came to save what could be saved. Coming home it seems like we only lost a cover for a sleeping mat and happy that it happened so close to dawn. The rating is out of category on this one...
