Today I got to say good bye. I touched your cold face and anointed you with oils sang over your washed body. Cut cords to this realm on your behalf and basked in the smoke signals of your transition from this realm. I felt your love in those who you loved. I laughed cried and laugh-cried all day. I feel so complete so held by this community and so inspired by the life you lived to go and do likewise. Thank you to everyone who Reached out In The last week. I don’t have energy or words in this moment to translate the beauty of this visit into words. But the grieving has been thorough and deep. To be able to be held and to hold this community has truly changed me.
