Follow @cityloveletter to see more of this beautiful old apartment ✨ Admittedly, I sometimes feel like a fraud when friends or family compliment my “decorating skills” because the truth is, the apartment itself is just ✨so beautiful✨ that I think literally anything would look good in here. I was inspired by a reel @hattiekolp made, and while I don’t know the history of my apartment to the same degree Hattie knows about hers, I do know that our apartment dates back to 1908, and I have been able to chat with one of our neighbors with a lot of knowledge about the building and neighborhood. He has lived in the unit above ours for 30+ years and is an architect who was consulted during the renovation of the building in the 1980s. Apparently the building had fallen into severe disarray and some of the units were so bad that the original details (like the ones you see in my apartment) couldn’t be salvaged. 😢 #nycapartment #apartmentdesign #apartmentdecorating #i
