Sháńdíín Brown @shandiin13 is a Diné (Navajo) curator, jeweler, and fashion enthusiast. She
is the first Henry Luce Curatorial Fellow for Native American Art @risdmuseum.
About 1,000 objects make up the RISD Museum Native North American Art collection, with a diverse array of Tribal Nations represented.
Brown co-curated “Being and Believing in the Natural World: Perspectives from the Ancient
Mediterranean, Asia, and Indigenous North America” along with Gina Borromeo (former curator of ancient art) and Wai Yee Chiong (associate curator of Asian art), which is on view at the RISD Museum until May 7, 2023.

The collage includes photographs of Brown's family, and newspaper articles of Diné and Native American activists from the RISD and Brown University archives
